The Korean language is really close to my heart I still remember vividly how I was desperate to speak Korean language fluently and now I can't believe  I  can speak fluently (not that well) and can have a conversation but still I have a lot of ways to go.

 Let's begin! Here are some real basic Korean phrases for beginners:

"KOREAN BASIC PHRASES"

LESSON:1

{ initial Korean phrases }

Here are some of the basic Korean phrases :

1. 안녕하세요 (Annyeonghaseyo) 
- Hello / Goodbye

2. 감사합니다 (Gamsahamnida) 
- Thank you

3. 네 (Ne) 
- Yes

4. 아니요 (Aniyo)
 - No

5. 저는 ___ 입니다 (Jeoneun ___ imnida)
- I am ___.

6. 제 이름은 ___ 입니다 (Je ireumeun ___ imnida) 
- My name is ___.

7. 죄송합니다 (Joesonghamnida) 
- I'm sorry / Excuse me

8. 잘 지내세요? (Jal jinaeseyo?) 
- How are you? (formal)

9. 잘 지내요? (Jal jinaeyo?) 
- How are you? (informal)

10. 안녕히 가세요 (Annyeonghi gaseyo) 
- Goodbye (to someone leaving)

11. 안녕히 계세요 (Annyeonghi gyeseyo) 
- Goodbye (to someone staying)

 - Nice to meet you.

3. 저는 [Your Nationality] 사람이에요. (Jeoneun [Your Nationality] saramieyo.)
- I am [Your Nationality].

4. 저는 [Your Age] 살이에요. (Jeoneun [Your Age] salieyo.)
- I am [Your Age] years old.

5. 저는 [Your Occupation or School] 에 다니고 있어요. (Jeoneun [Your Occupation or School] e danigo isseoyo.)
 - I am a [Your Occupation or School].

6. 어디에서 왔어요? (Eodieseo wasseoyo?)
 - Where are you from?

7. 어디서 살아요? (Eodiseo sarayo?) 
- Where do you live?

8. 취미가 뭐에요?  (chwimiga mwoeyo)
 - What are your hobbies?

9. 한국어를 공부하고 있어요. (Hangugeo-reul gongbu hago isseoyo) 
- I am studying Korean.

10. 잘 부탁드립니다. (Jal butagdeurimnida)
 - Nice to meet you / Please take care of me.

Here are some typical expressions used by Koreans when starting, during, and ending a meal with family or friends:
                  
1. 잘 먹겠습니다. (Jal meokkesseumnida) 
- "I will eat well (Let's eat well)."

2. 맛있어요! (Masisseoyo!)
 - "It's delicious!"

3. 요리 잘하셔요. (Yori jalhaseoyo) 
- "You're a good cook."

4. 맛있게 드세요. (Mashitge deuseyo)
 - "Enjoy your meal."

5. 배부르네요. (Baebureuneyo) 
- "I'm full."

6.정말 잘 먹었습니다. (Jeongmal jal meogeosseumnida)

 Here are some compliment phrases in Korean specifically to compliment the person:


1. 예쁘세요. (Yeppeuseyo) 
- "You're beautiful."

2. 잘생겼어요.
 (Jalsaenggyeosseoyo)
 - "You're handsome."

3. 멋있어요. (Meosisseoyo) 
- "You're cool/stylish."

4. 재능 있으세요.
(Jaeneung isseuseyo)
 - "You're talented."

5. 친절하세요. (Chinjeolhaseyo) 
 -"You're kind."

dangsineun areumdawoyo )

5. 미래에는 무엇을 하고 싶어요? (Joayo. Miraeneun mueoseul hago sipeoyo?)
- What do you want to do in the future?

6. 뭐 공부하고 있어요? (Annyeonghaseyo! Mwo gongbuhago isseoyo?)
-What are you studying?

7. 무슨 전공이에요? (Museun jeongwaniyeyo?)
-What's your major?

8. 공부는 잘 하고 있어요? (Gongbuneun jal hago isseoyo?)
-Are you doing well in your studies?

9. 열심히 공부하고 있어요. ( Ne, yeolsimhi gongbuhago isseoyo )
